Plug the small end of the supplied USB cord into the bottom of your GoGear while holding down the "Volume Up." Insert the larger end into a free USB port on your computer. Inspect your GoGear to confirm that it is turned off. From your computer's "Start" menu, choose "Programs," "Philips Digital Audio Player," "Area Device Manager" and "Philips Device Manager." The Philips Device Manager software will be activated. Initiate a file recovery by first connecting your GoGear to your computer. If the reset failed to correct the issue, perform a file recovery on your GoGear. Power the device back on to see if the corrupted files have been corrected. Hold the thin object in place until you see the unit shut down completely. Locate a thin object, such as pen tip or unfolded paper clip and insert it into the small reset hole on the bottom of your GoGear. Perform a system reset, which won't erase your files, to attempt to correct playback. Perform a system reset, a memory recovery, replace your music files and properly disconnect your GoGear from your computer.
